Sharks<\/a> coach Craig Fitzgibbon has revealed the circumstances behind an incredible story of Nicho Hynes<\/a> and assistant coaches Steve Price and Daniel Holdsworth saving a suicidal man. \ufeff<\/p>\n

According to The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>, the three pulled over after noticing a man in a distressed state on the Sea Cliff Bridge at Stanwell Park.<\/p>\n

\ufeffHynes and Price reportedly approached the man and pulled him to safety while Holdsworth called the police.<\/p>\n

The man was driven to medical assistance.<\/p>\n

Fitzgibbon revealed the three were on their way to the head coach's house south of Sydney when he received a phone call. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"I\ufeff didn't believe them at first because they were on the way to my house to watch the footy and hang out," he told media on Thursday.<\/p>\n

"They called to say \ufeffthey were late and I said 'where are you?' and they said 'we're on the Sea Cliff Bridge' … they told me the story and it's amazing.<\/p>\n

"It was obviously quite confronting for those three.<\/p>\n

"They're terrific guys and obviously really caring and had the awareness to see it, notice it and do something about it.<\/p>\n

"I think it says a lot about what sort of men they are and I'm sure anyone that witnessed it and saw them go about their work was proud of those guys."<\/p>\n

Hynes is \ufeffcurrently injured and will miss the next two months of football<\/a> after suffering a complete syndesmosis rupture, plus a tibia fracture to his left ankle.<\/p>\n

It's horrible news for the Sharks considering they've lost their last three games in a row.<\/p>\n

Teammate Toby Rudolf<\/a> says his side is capable of claiming victory against the Tigers this Friday even without their biggest star. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"We've done it before without him and obviously having a calibre of a player like Nicho in your team is something you can't replace but the two halves we've got in Braydon Trindall and Daniel Atkinson, myself and the team have all the faith in those two guys," he said from Henson Park at the launch for the Beer, Footy and Food Festival.<\/p>\n

"We're going to do it on the weekend with Nicho in our thoughts.<\/p>\n

"Without him in the team, it does suck, he's one of my dear friends as well so not playing with him does effect me a bit too.<\/p>\n

"I'd be doing him a disservice and the team would be doing him a disservice if we thought about it too much and didn't play to the best of our ability."<\/p>\n
