Jaeman Salmon has been offered a two-week suspension for a late tackle on Te Maire Martin that reportedly left him with a broken jaw.<\/p>\n

In the 74th minute of the Bulldogs<\/a> thrilling 13-12 win over the Warriors at Accor Stadium<\/a>, Salmon flew out of the line \ufeffto pressure Martin's attempted field goal attempt.<\/p>\n

Martin bailed out of the kick and got a pass away, before Salmon arrived on the scene and put on a heavy hit. Both players remained down for some time. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"There may be a case to answer here … (Martin) has passed that well and truly before," Corey Parker said in commentary for Fox Sports.<\/p>\n

Surprisingly, the hit was cleared\ufeff by the bunker and went unpenalised.<\/p>\n

"I don't understand how that's clear," a stunned Parker said.<\/p>\n

"Both players are grabbing their face. How is that clear? How is that clear?"<\/p>\n

To make matters worse, Salmon will need surgery after reportedly suffering a displaced jaw \ufefffracture and will miss more than a month of footy.<\/p>\n

On Sunday morning, Salmon was offered a two week suspension by the MRC, or three if he fights the charge and loses.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Nine's Sunday Footy Show, Andrew Johns said he "couldn't understand" why the Bunker didn't intervene.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffIt looked like something from Halloween … like Dracula, there was that much blood coming down," he said.<\/p>\n
