Two changes have been made to Australia's tennis<\/a> team for Paris 2024<\/a> with Olivia Gadecki teaming up with Ajla Tomljanovic<\/a> in women's doubles and Chris O'Connell dropping out due to injury.<\/p>\n

Tomljanovic, the 31-year-old Croatian-born star, had already been selected for singles competition but is now also set to play with Gadecki, the 22-year-old Gold Coast product, after Australia secured another doubles quota place.<\/p>\n

O'Connell had been selected for men's singles but, several days after losing to American Taylor Fritz in the first round of Wimbledon<\/a>, has pulled out injured.<\/p>\n

The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) confirmed the team changes in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n

Alex de Minaur, Alexei Popyrin and Rinky Hijikata will compete for Australia in men's singles, while Tomljanovic is the only Australian woman set for singles competition.<\/p>\n

Double tennis will also see Matt Ebden pair up with John Peers in the men's game, as well as Ellen Perez and Daria Saville combine in the women's game.<\/p>\n

Paris 2024 tennis will begin on July 27, the day after the opening ceremony, and conclude on August 4.<\/p>\n
