Former England captain Michael Vaughan has come under fire for his persistent criticism of India's pitches, as the hosts hold a 2-1 lead heading into the fourth Test.<\/p>\n

It has been relative chaos from the pitches in India, including a stunning third-test in Ahmedabad which saw England rolled inside two days.<\/a><\/p>\n

Vaughan has been vocal on social media throughout the series, slamming the standard of the pitches which have caused havoc for both sides.<\/p>\n

But former India cricketer Deep Dasgupta says "enough is enough", calling on Vaughan to move on from his hang-ups over England's pitch gripes.<\/p>\n

"We have had enough discussions about the pitch. We are giving Michael Vaughan too much space in the media," Dasgupta said on Sports Today.<\/p>\n

"Let's move on, we all know what his views are, we all know the others' views are.<\/p>\n

"Let's just accept how things are going to be, you expect pitches to turn in India let's just take that as a fact.<\/p>\n

"If you want flat pitches, we've got white-ball cricket. Test cricket is about testing your abilities, your skillset in various different conditions.<\/p>\n

"That's how it is. If you don't like it, too bad then, Test cricket is not for you."<\/p>\n

Vaughan and fellow former England international David Lloyd were among the strongest critics of the Ahmedabad wicket, saying it reduced Test cricket to a "lottery".<\/p>\n

That prompted Indian skipper Virat Kohli to step in.<\/p>\n

"There is always too much noise and too much conversation about spinning tracks," Kohli said.<\/p>\n

"The reason for our success has been that we haven't cribbed about pitches that we played on and we would continue to play like that as a team."<\/p>\n

England will hope for some reprieve from the pitch as they return to Ahmedabad for the crucial fourth Test.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
