A fiery \ufeffM\ufeffitchell Moses<\/a> dressing room spray that the Eels<\/a> would have preferred to keep behind closed doors has gone public, putting the club on the defensive. <\/p>\n

According to The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>, \ufeffthe star halfback addressed the team after their heartbreaking loss to Newcastle on Saturday night in an expletive-laden spray.<\/p>\n

"No one outside this room is going to help us get out of this, so we'll have to do it ourselves," Moses reportedly told the group with some colourful language included.<\/p>\n

As one of the leaders at the club, Moses was believed to be taking aim at some of the officials at the Eels and despite declining to speak to the Herald, the halfback sent a text message explaining the incident.<\/p>\n

"As you can imagine it's been a frustrating season," he wrote.<\/p>\n

"We just lost another match and I had a private conversation in the dressing room right after the game. We are all trying our guts out and we all just want to win."<\/p>\n

The fiery post-match address was heard by multiple Parramatta officials including general manager of football Mark O'Neill.<\/p>\n

Chief executive Jim Sarantinos \ufeffhad no issue with the remarks made by Moses.<\/p>\n

"Mitch's comments were understandable in the dressing room environment immediately after a closely fought match," he told the Herald.<\/em><\/p>\n

"Simply said, he was expressing his emotions after a loss, where he and the team had busted their guts and didn't get the result that they and the club were after."<\/p>\n

Moses backed up from a dominant State of Origin \ufeffperformance in a bid to help his side against the Knights and managed to score a try in a strong showing in the round 17 loss.<\/p>\n

Parramatta sit equal-last on the NRL ladder and are reportedly closing in on a new head coach after sacking Brad Arthur<\/a> mid-way through the season\ufeff.<\/p>\n

Moses, as well as others within the group, were close with Arthur \ufeffand have since pushed for interim coach Trent Barrett<\/a> to be handed the reins full-time.<\/p>\n

The news of Moses' post-game outburst comes as star recruit Zac Lomax's move to the club has become a hot topic given the uncertainty at the Eels<\/a>.<\/p>\n
