Being a Florida State Seminole<\/a> means a bit more for four-star Greg Thomas<\/a>, who is the latest player to commit to the ACC program<\/p>\n

He will be according to Hayes Fawcett of On3<\/a>, the first member of the Seminole tribe to ever play for Florida State<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thomas is a four-star defensive back and the No. 190 player in the nation according to 247Sports<\/a>. He is ranked the No. 17 safety prospect in the nation and the No. 23 overall player in Florida’s class of 2025.<\/p>\n

He plays for American Heritage (Plantation, Florida)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Committing on Sunday, Thomas was quick to provide a reminder on his social media of how deep his Seminole roots go. He found a picture of himself dating back to elementary school posing with Tavares McFadden.<\/p>\n

McFadden is a former Florida State defensive back who spent two years in the NFL and currently is in the CFL:<\/p>\n

Thomas chose Florida State over offers from Clemson<\/a>, Duke, Illinois, Louisville, Miami, Pittsburgh and Wisconsin<\/a> among others.<\/p>\n
