M\ufeffatthew Lloyd has sounded the alarm for West Coast, after their dismal 61-point loss to Hawthorn on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Eagles managed to kick just two goals to halftime, before adding just two more for the match.<\/p>\n

It was one of the club's worst displays of the season, despite having a more positive output \ufeffcompared to last year, with three wins already under their belt after 16 rounds.<\/p>\n

But for Lloyd, the loss to Hawthorn, who sit 13th on the ladder, has regressed the Eagles in a big way.<\/p>\n

"It's grim times at the West Coast Eagles," Lloyd told AFL.com.au on Monday.<\/p>\n

\"Adam<\/p>\n

"Their effort was appalling, absolutely appalling.<\/p>\n

"And if you don't have that, then you don't have much because they're not a strong list."<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe Eagles were smashed around the ball, losing clearances 38-21, while allowing Hawthorn youngsters Jai Newcombe to 33 disposals, as well as Dylan Moore to 29.<\/p>\n

Kane Cornes echoed Lloyd's concerns.<\/p>\n

"West Coast I thought had turned a corner and were not going to become the easy beats they have been for the last three years," Cornes said on SEN Radio on Monday.<\/p>\n

"To serve that up at home in front of a full house with the strongest team that you've had \u2014 and a lot of the excuses around West Coast have been availability \u2014 well you had the availability\ufeff."<\/p>\n

Eagles coach Adam Simpson did not attempt to defend his club's embarrassing loss.<\/p>\n

"It was disappointing in every facet from the start to the finish," Simpson said post match on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

"We're owning this game \u2026 we were beaten in every area.<\/p>\n

"The first part we need to work on is what we've been trying to work on since pre-season, which is around the contest."<\/p>\n

West Coast sit 17th on the ladder with a 3-12 record.<\/p>\n
