A\ufeffngus Crichton<\/a> has finally locked in his future, knocking back advances from rival clubs and rugby union to re-sign with the Sydney Roosters<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The back-rower has completed a stunning career turnaround this year, going from playing NSW Cup to becoming a key figure at the State of Origin<\/a> level for the Blues.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old was seemingly on the outer just two months ago when the Roosters signed David Fifita<\/a> on a long-term deal, but after the Titans star backflipped on his move, the club turned their attention back to extending Crichton's tenure.<\/p>\n

As first reported by 9News Sydney's Danny Weidler, the premiership-winning forward has agreed to a fresh two-year deal, keeping him at Bondi \ufeffuntil the end of 2026.<\/p>\n

Crichton has been in rampaging form this year for the Tricolours, scoring seven tries in 12 appearances, as well as averaging 124 run metres and 27 tackles per game.<\/p>\n

There had been interest from rugby union franchises, both in Australia and overseas, but Crichton had always reiterated his desire to remain in the 13-man code.<\/p>\n

His extension will only amplify the noise around Sitili Tupouniua's future at the Roosters<\/a>, \ufeffwho has been granted permission to negotiate with rival clubs for next season, despite being signed until the end of 2027.<\/p>\n
