Collingwood <\/a>has condemed former cheer squad leader Joffa Corfe for a racist tweet, calling on the Magpies fan to apologise.<\/p>\n

Corfe, a vocal supporter for ex-president Eddie McGuire <\/a>who openly denounced the notion the club is racist<\/a>, published a tweet at aged care workers with an Indian background, writing: "Get rid of all Indian workers in aged care might be a start."<\/p>\n

Corfe was frequently seen at Collingwood games leading the cheer squad before moving overseas in 2019.<\/p>\n

Collingwood took to social media on Wednesday to distance themselves from Corfe, calling on the club supporter to apologise for the offensive comments.<\/p>\n

"Joffa Corfe is not a member of the Collingwood Football Club but has had a long association with our organisation," the tweet read.<\/p>\n

"As such we cannot stand by his comments of last night. We condemn them and ask him to consider the hurt he has caused and an appropriate apology."<\/p>\n

Before the Magpies addressed Corfe's tweet, the controversial fan hit back at critics over his initial post.<\/p>\n

"I won't be silenced by the bull—t minority pretending to be the do gooders I'll have the balls to say and tweet whatever I want."<\/p>\n

"To the losers out there in Twitter world feel free to copy and paste anything i say everywhere and anywhere."<\/p>\n

Following several key recommendations in the club-commissioned 'Do Better' report that detailed several instances of racial discrimination, Collingwood last month announced it had established an anti-racism expert group to help the club change its culture.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
