LOUISVILLE, Ky. \u2014\u00a0<\/b>The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced Friday afternoon that 191 student-athletes from 108 programs have received 2024 NFCA High School Spring All-Region accolades.<\/p>\n
The awards honor softball student-athletes from eight (Regions III through X) of the Association\u2019s 10 regions with first- and second-team selections.<\/p>\n
2024 Spring All-Region Teams\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n Three schools topped the charts with five All-Region selections apiece. Maryland\u2019s Mardela High (Region X) placed four of its five on the first team, while Alaska\u2019s Delta (Region III) and New York Catholic High School Athletic Association champion St. Anthony\u2019s (Region IX) each had two first-team honorees among their quintets.<\/p>\n Four programs \u2014 Idaho\u2019s Eagle (Region III), Arizona\u2019s Tempe Corona del Sol (Region IV), Allen Park (Region V) and Calallen (Region VI) \u2014 had four players selected. Seventeen schools had three selections, while 25 more had two honorees and 59 had one representative.<\/p>\n NFCA High School All-Region and All-America student-athletes\u00a0must be\u00a0nominated by their NFCA-member head coach. All-Region is voted on by their respective region\u2019s member head coaches,\u00a0and All-Americans are voted on\u00a0by\u00a0the full high school membership.\u00a0In some instances,\u00a0limited regional nominations prevented a position from being filled.<\/p>\n All winners move forward to be considered for selection with the previously-selected\u00a02023 Summer\/Fall All-Region honorees<\/a>\u00a0for the three NFCA\u00a0High School\u00a0All-America teams, which will be announced July 19.<\/p>\n The NFCA is the professional organization for fastpitch softball coaches.
