Queensland<\/a> star Tamika Upton and her nan shared an emotional moment after the Maroons' 22-6 victory<\/a> in the first-ever women's State of Origin<\/a> decider in Townsville.<\/p>\n

Speaking post-match, \ufeffUpton was joined by members of her extended family as Queensland celebrated back-to-back series wins.<\/p>\n

Among the group was \ufeffUpton's No.1 supporter \u2014 her grandmother Helen.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI'm so proud of her," Helen told Nine's Allana Ferguson.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI'm proud of her without the win but I'm proud of her an extra bit with the win."<\/p>\n

A \ufeffstaple at Upton's games since she was a "tiny, little girl", Helen beamed up at her granddaughter.<\/p>\n

"She's so good," she said.<\/p>\n

In a moment that Ferguson labelled "precious", Helen then reached out and grabbed\ufeff Upton's hand \u2014 holding on for the remainder of the interview.<\/p>\n

\ufeffMoments later, vision showed Helen holding the shield.<\/p>\n

Upton was one of many standouts in what was a dominant display by the Maroons.\ufeff<\/p>\n
