Brisbane Lions<\/a> dismal 0-3 start seems like a distant memory at the end of round 15, after their impressive 79-point win over finals hopefuls Port Adelaide<\/a> away from home.<\/p>\n

Their 7-6-1 record is so positive, that Matthew Lloyd is confident that they'll lock themselves into the top six in just a few weeks time.<\/p>\n

The Lions sit in ninth with a percentage of 100.4 and have dropped just one game from their last five outings.<\/p>\n

Lloyd is so convinced that the Lions are on the right track, he's locked them in to win their next handful of matches.<\/p>\n

"They do have a good run, a lot of Gabba games in the next five week," Lloyd said on Nine's<\/em> Sunday Footy Show.<\/p>\n

Brisbane face off against Mebourne at the Gabba in round 16, the Crows at home the following week, before taking on both the Swans and Giants. <\/p>\n

"They should be top six by the end of that period," Lloyd said.<\/p>\n

And they Lions resurgence is thanks to their coach, Chris Fagan, who has stuck by his troops even during their tough period at the start of the season.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I love what Chris Fagan has done, which so many players have spoken about," Lloyd began.<\/p>\n

\"Fagan<\/p>\n

"He got up in front of the (players), two, three weeks ago and he put out all the stats where w'ere (Brisbane) are top four.<\/p>\n

"He said 'all we're doing wrong is, we're just not kicking straight. Our goalkicking has been appalling. We kick straighter, we would have won another three games'.<\/p>\n

Lloyd says he's loving the way Brisbane has stuck to their morals and ignored outside pressure and doubt that their premiership window was closed.<\/p>\n

"It's amazing how it's come through the players' interviews, where he (Fagan) sold them hope and belief," he said.<\/p>\n

"(Now) they're really playing some great footy.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

"To just hold together, too, when it was really disastrous early in the season, when they had five ACLs on their list and losing matches coming off a grand final loss," Barrett added.<\/p>\n

"They just stayed firm and stayed with what they knew, basically. Then got some form out of the players they needed to."<\/p>\n
