Heavyweight boxing star Andrew Ruiz Jr has proudly shown off his incredible body transformation on social media.<\/p>\n

Ruiz Jr, who shot to international fame after defeating heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, hasn't set foot in the ring since December 2019.<\/p>\n

But it appears during his hiatus he's been keeping himself more than busy, shedding plenty of kilos in an incredible body transformation.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram, the Mexican-American fighter showed off his leaner physique in a short video.<\/p>\n

Filmed from a flattering angle above his own head, he captioned the clip: "Workout done."<\/p>\n

At the peak of his weight, Ruiz weighed in at 130kg.<\/p>\n

Ruiz will take his new physique back to the ring in 2021 after a fight against Chris Arreola was confirmed this week for April 24.<\/p>\n

Ruiz Jr has joined up with Canelo Alvarez's trainer Eddy Reynoso who has guided him on his weight loss journey.<\/p>\n

"It's about 20lbs (he's lost). And he also has more muscle," Reynoso told Behind The Gloves.<\/p>\n

"He's not as fat as he was before. He can move his hips a lot better and that helps him move around in the ring. He's working really hard."<\/p>\n
