Not going to start now.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Scott is still confident the Cats are able to make finals, even without a key ruckman and a deep-running midfield.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"8d0e23c6-638d-4145-a8c9-20abe507a67e\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/85525718-a01e-4026-8d5c-e6613956e4db-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Scott.\" data-width=\"4494\" data-height=\"2996\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&quot;What we won&#x27;t do is concede and say, &#x27;oh well, they (Carlton) are better than us, so now we&#x27;ve got to slip back to the pack&#x27; \u2026 we&#x27;re still optimistic about what we can do,&quot; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I still think our best is pretty good, but we&#x27;ve just got some holes where we feel as if we need to be a bit creative at the moment in how we go after filling those roles and sometimes that causes a bit of pain.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"efe66362-2168-4e96-aa15-d9836b31813e\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/efe66362-2168-4e96-aa15-d9836b31813e-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Geelong\" data-width=\"2881\" data-height=\"1680\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Scott did heap praise on the second-placed Blues.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;If a really good team came up against Carlton playing like that, it would be interesting to see how they&#x27;d go because they were very, very good,&quot; he said.\ufeff<\/p>\n<p>And he&#x27;s not one for making excuses, but Scott pointed towards Geelong&#x27;s &quot;tough&quot; draw, which sees them face Essendon and Collingwood in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides are also in September contention.\ufeff<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Do you want to know the honest answer? The one that coaches don&#x27;t normally give?
