Patrick Dangerfield<\/a> faces another stint on the sidelines after he was pinged for a dangerous tackle just minutes into his long awaited return.<\/p>\n

The Geelong<\/a> skipper was named to return against Carlton earlier this week after suffering a hamstring injury for the second time this season in round seven<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But his return was quickly clouded, as he was penalised for a dangerous tackle made on Carlton<\/a> star Sam Walsh.<\/p>\n

At first glance, it appeared Dangerfield had mad a regulation tackle, but the replay showed Walsh's head had hit the turf. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"This has got all the elements of some issues for Danger," said Garry Lyon on Fox Footy.<\/p>\n

"He's got both arms locked away there."<\/p>\n

"That's trouble for mine. Both arms pinned and he's dropped his bodyweight," Jack Riewoldt added.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the De Koning brothers Tom (Carlton) and Sam (Geelong) put on a thrilling show as they lined up against each other in the ruck.<\/p>\n

Tom claimed the first points of the night, beating Sam to the ball at a forward 50 stoppage before nailing the opening goal.<\/p>\n

"They have a distinct dislike for each other tonight," Lyon said. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The Blues took control of the match early, with Charlie Curnow kicking a goal before Matt Owies smashed a major to give Carlton a 19-point advantage. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The Cats made a comeback in the third quarter, narrowing the margin to 27. But the side copped a major setback as Tom Hawkins limped from the field with a lower leg injury.<\/p>\n

The star forward appeared to injure his ankle in open play as he attempted to run towards the ball near the arc. He quickly clutched at his leg before exiting the field.<\/p>\n
