The annual under 19s State of Origin<\/a> men's game typically provides some interstate brouhaha, and Thursday night was certainly no different.<\/p>\n

Blues and Maroons players clashed in heated scenes during the first half of NSW's win over Queensland at Leichhardt Oval<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It came after gun Queensland hooker Coby Black nailed a 40\/20 to put the Maroons on the front foot.<\/p>\n

The Maroons spread the ball left and found winger Tyreece Tait, who scrambled for the corner but was dragged into touch by his opposite number \ufeffMichael Gabrael.<\/p>\n

\"Blues<\/p>\n

As Blues players rushed in to congratulate Gabrael it was Raiders fullback Chevy Stewart who raised the ire of Queensland by yelling at Tait.<\/p>\n

Maroons players rushed in to confront Stewart and a melee erupted, with players even falling into the boundary fence and threatening to spill into the crowd.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Both teams will want to be careful here," Queensland Cameron Smith said on Nine. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Once the scuffle broke up both teams went to separate parts of the field while the Bunker reviewed it.<\/p>\n

Referee Wyatt Raymond called out Stewart and Queensland centre LJ Nonu for their involvement, but opted not to bin either player.<\/p>\n
