A\ufeffdam Doueihi<\/a> has re-committed to the Wests Tigers<\/a> for a further season as he prepares to return to the NRL<\/a> after a lengthy injury absence.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old spent over a year on the sidelines after suffering an ACL rupture last season, before finally making his comeback via NSW Cup last weekend.<\/p>\n

Doueihi has been named among the reserves for the club's round 16 clash against the Raiders, with the Lebanese international hopeful of a first grade return soon.<\/p>\n

Despite reports of a minimum-wage contract being tabled earlier in the year, Doueihi has opted to stay put and be part of a rebuild at Concord under coach Benji Marshall<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With 87 games to his name and the ability to cover a plethora of positions, Doueihi could be a valuable asset to Marshall for the next year and beyond.<\/p>\n

The utility believes he still has plenty of room to improve in the black and gold.<\/p>\n

"I'm still only 25 and I know my best years are ahead of me," he said.<\/p>\n

"I'll be working as hard as I can over the rest of this season and next season and I'm excited about the years ahead."\ufeff<\/p>\n

With four other playmakers – Jarome Luai, Lachlan Galvin, Jayden Sullivan and Latu Fainu – all signed for 2025 and beyond at the Tigers, Doueihi's future is likely to be in the centres or at lock.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
