The Parramatta Eels<\/a> have lodged a formal complaint to Fox \ufeffSports over an alleged incident between a cameraman and a mascot.<\/p>\n

While details surrounding the nature of the incident are scarce, Venues NSW are also investigating, according to Nine's Danny Weidler.<\/p>\n

It's not clear when the incident occurred or exactly what happened.<\/p>\n

"They're not happy about the treatment of the mascot by a Fox Sports cameraman and it's something they're following through," Weidler said on 100% Footy<\/em><\/a> on Monday night.<\/p>\n

"And also Venues \ufeffNSW are going through security vision to see exactly what has happened."<\/p>\n

Venues NSW run Accor, Allianz, CommBank and McDonald Jones Stadiums, as well as the SCG Trust, WIN Sports and Entertainment Centre, and the Newcastle Entertainment Centre.<\/p>\n

Mascots \ufeffare a big part of the game-day experience across every club, and usually during the games walk laps of the stadium high-fiving and posing for photos with fans.<\/p>\n

Parramatta's mascots are Sparky and Sparkles, and according to the Eels website "are always proud of the boys' efforts on the field".<\/p>\n

Given the Eels are only off the bottom of the ladder by 10 points on for-and-against, Sparky and Sparkles are doing a lot of the heavy lifting of the Eels cheers squad.<\/p>\n

Parramatta \ufeffhave the bye this week, and will take on the Knights in Newcastle in round 17.<\/p>\n
