Teenage prodigy Lachlan Galvin<\/a> has broken his silence on his time in the headlines after he requested a release from the Tigers.<\/p>\n

Galvin has since pledged he'll be staying at the club after Tigers<\/a> chief executive officer Shane Richardson told him and his management he won't be released.<\/p>\n

The five-eighth has now revealed the influence Andrew Johns<\/a> had on his decision after the Immortal \ufeffimplored him to stay loyal and build a legacy at the club<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"I'm fully committed to Wests Tigers," Galvin told The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"I want to change the club around, I'm fully committed to the next two years of my contract. Just thinking about it, it's cool to think … I can be that kid to change this club around.<\/p>\n

"You hear the likes of Andrew Johns talking, saying there is a legacy for you and how cool would it be if you change the club around.<\/p>\n

"I thought of that and that's incredible to me, to think I could be one of the few to change this club around."<\/p>\n

Amid his commitment to the Tigers, Galvin also put to bed a report that said he was telling teammates he was happy to be leaving.<\/p>\n

"Absolute lie," he said.<\/p>\n

"I would never do that to any of my teammates or Benji [Marshall] or any of the coaching staff. I would never disrespect them like that.<\/p>\n
