Jake Paul<\/a> is reportedly weighing up a new opponent and he's making a "big mistake" according to\ufeff UFC<\/a> legend Michael Bisping.<\/p>\n

After the highly anticipated July fight against Mike Tyson was postponed<\/a> and moved to November 16 AEST, Paul is said to be chasing a new dance partner to replace the July event.<\/p>\n

And while he's been accused of cherry-picking fights from former NBA players to ex-UFC fighters in the past, Paul is reportedly in talks with BKFC fighter, Mike Perry. Details surrounding the fight are sketchy.<\/p>\n

Happy Punch was the first to report the proposed bout.<\/p>\n

Neither Paul nor Perry commented on the potential match-up on social media, as they usually do when a fight is announced.<\/p>\n

Following the rumours, Paul tweeted, "I smell victory".<\/p>\n

He then wrote: "I am fighting Mike Tyson on Netflix, and I will get the W."\ufeff<\/p>\n

It's \ufeffuncertain what the contracted weight will be or the number of rounds they will fight.<\/p>\n

If the bout does take place,\ufeff it will be Perry's second professional boxing bout after a knockout loss to Kenneth McNeil in 2015.<\/p>\n

Despite the winless record in the squared circle, Bisping believes Perry will pose a serious problem for the YouTube star, if he does follow through.<\/p>\n

"I say that he has made a big mistake here," Bisping said.<\/p>\n

"He thinks Mike Perry's easy work, he thinks Mike Perry's got a big name, he's a big star and he's going to go out there and beat him. He's wrong.<\/p>\n

"Mike Perry is a fighter. There's not a fight Mike Perry won't take. He is the epitome of a real fighter and he's an absolute star in (BKFC)."<\/p>\n

As for Paul, Bisping said he respects the fact he gets in the ring and wants to improve.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"He's not technical, he's not sharp, yes he has power, he's a young man in his prime and he's not a bad lump of a man so, of course, he's going to have power, and he's dedicated himself and he's improving all the time, so fair play I give him respect for that," he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
