Wests Tigers<\/a> sensation Lachlan Galvin<\/a> has put an end to speculation over his future, informing club officials that he will honour his contract until its completion.<\/p>\n

Galvin is signed with the Concord-based club until the end of 2026, but his future was clouded after a series of early release requests.<\/p>\n

The Sydney Morning Herald reports<\/a> that the 18-year-old \ufeffnotified coach Benji Marshall<\/a> via text that he wanted to remain part of the club, just days after Tigers officials met for an emergency meeting with his family.<\/p>\n

After a horror run at Concord that has seen the side lose nine-straight games, the teen sensation became the centre of the rugby league world as he requested a release from the remainder of his contract.<\/p>\n

Tigers chief executive S\ufeffhane Richardson and head of football Matthew Betsey visited Galvin's parents at their Gregory Hills home on Wednesday, according to the SMH report, to discuss the halfback's release request and future.<\/p>\n

Galvin was not in attendance, however, sources speaking on the condition of anonymity stated the meeting was a positive one.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old has made a mark in the competition and is proving to be the next big thing, shining in his 10 NRL appearances so far.<\/p>\n

Several rival clubs were reportedly interested should he become a free agent\ufeff, but for now he remains committed to the Wests Tigers for the long haul.<\/p>\n

It is expected he will partner incoming Penrith star Jarome Luai<\/a> in the halves in 2025 and beyond. \ufeff<\/p>\n
