Carter Gordon has confirmed he will join the NRL's<\/a> Gold Coast Titans<\/a> on a two-year deal.<\/p>\n

Gordon has long been linked to a code switch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, his cash-strapped Super Rugby Pacific<\/a> club the Melbourne Rebels<\/a> has folded and the 23-year-old has a new job.<\/p>\n

The Nambour product played eight Tests for the Wallabies<\/a> and was part of the ill-fated Rugby World Cup campaign that resulted in Eddie Jones splitting with Rugby Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gordon \ufeffis the latest high-profile rugby union player after Mark Nawaqanitawase to up sticks and join rugby league.<\/p>\n

"I'm excited with the direction that rugby league is taking and the positive feeling around the game," Gordon said.<\/p>\n

Titans coach Des Hasler hailed Gordon's impending arrival a major coup for the club.<\/p>\n

"Carter has competed well in rugby, representing his country and playing at the World Cup," Hasler said.<\/p>\n
