Latrell Mitchell<\/a> has one more on-field chance to audition for selection in Michael Maguire<\/a>'s NSW Blues<\/a> team for State of Origin<\/a> II.<\/p>\n

But he's also got another golden opportunity \ufeffto impress the rookie coach \u2013 a face-to-face meeting only 24 hours before sides are selected.<\/p>\n

Mitchell and Maguire will both attend \ufeffSouth Sydney<\/a>'s 10-year premiership reunion on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Maguire was the Bunnies' head coach in 2014, and took the side to third on the ladder, before knocking over Manly and the minor-premiership winning Roosters side on their way to a 30-6 win over the Bulldogs in the grand final.<\/p>\n

While \ufeffMitchell was still two years away from his NRL debut at the time \u2013 and six years away from joining Souths \u2013 all current Rabbitohs players will be in attendance.<\/p>\n

Against the Titans last weekend, which was the first of two auditions \ufeffahead of game two selection, Mitchell was in peak form. He scored a try, assisted in three others and made a brilliant try-saving tackle in the second half.<\/p>\n

Maguire is in need of a new centre after Joseph Suaalii was suspended for four games<\/a> for his ugly hit on Reece Walsh in game one.<\/p>\n

Andrew Johns has been among the league g\ufeffreats campaigning for Mitchell's selection, saying the Blues in game one lacked the "x-factor" he provides.<\/p>\n

He declared him a "must-pick" for game two.<\/p>\n

"Latrell just has to come in \u2013 there's no ifs or buts," he said on Nine's The<\/em> Sunday Footy Show<\/em>.<\/p>\n

"There's rumours floating around that something happened pre-camp that he didn't talk to Madge or didn't turn up or something, who cares, just get him in there.<\/p>\n

"He destroyed them (against the Titans) \u2013 he's just got to be there," Johns said.<\/p>\n

Mitchell's second chance will come on Friday night when the Rabbitohs host the Broncos \ufeffat Accor Stadium.<\/p>\n
