W\ufeffests Tigers<\/a> chief executive Shane Richardson<\/a> has warned clubs he'll report them if there's any pursuit of young prodigy Lachlan Galvin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old made his debut in round two this season and has shown undeniable talent Benji Marshall's side's poor run of results has put his playing future at the club in doubt.<\/p>\n

Galvin's management has requested a release from the bottom-of-the-table club.<\/p>\n

But speaking on Nine's 100% Footy, Richardson was bullish on where Galvin would be playing over the next two years. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Well, he's got a contract, it's very simple. He's got two more years under contract, and we intend to keep him to the contract," he said.<\/p>\n

"This club let players go away seven years ago and we've never recovered. I think Lachie can lead us to a premiership eventually, he's signed with us for the next two more years and he'll be with us for the next two more years."<\/p>\n

Richardson confirmed he'd had talks with Galvin's manager, Isaac Moses, but wasn't willing to state the release request was entirely down to the manager rather than the player.<\/p>\n

The Tigers boss also went on to deliver a threat to any clubs thinking of approaching the young half. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Everybody likes to blame managers. Isaac and I, we had a reasonably fervent discussion on Friday … there's a whole lot of head banging in his (Galvin's) ears," he said.<\/p>\n

"He's become great overnight and a champion and I understand that and then everybody's in his ear saying, 'You could be here'. I will say this to any club out there that thinks they can chase Lachie Galvin: There's a thing called anti-tampering.<\/p>\n

"And if you think for one minute, for one minute, I won't to take it to the NRL, you're kidding yourself."<\/p>\n

League icon Phil Gould believes the young half is "being influenced" into the decision for a release request\ufeff.<\/p>\n

"I think that's older people in his ear," he said.<\/p>\n

"I've got no doubt that if he was with a stronger club he wouldn't have been thrust into the NRL at this stage. He's obviously a young player of great talent and he just needs to cool his heels a bit and trust in the process.<\/p>\n
