{"id":401616,"date":"2024-06-10T00:20:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-10T00:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=401616"},"modified":"2024-06-10T05:05:49","modified_gmt":"2024-06-10T05:05:49","slug":"huge-win-for-women-as-chadwick-dominates-big-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=401616","title":{"rendered":"Huge win for women as Chadwick dominates big race"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamie Chadwick became just the third woman to win an Indy NXT race and the first to accomplish the feat on a road course when she led all 20 laps at Road America.<\/p>\n<p>Indy NXT is the final step on the ladder system of open-wheel racing for drivers working their way up to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nine.com.au\/topic\/indycar-25ny\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"IndyCar Series\">IndyCar Series<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly overwhelmed,\u201d Chadwick said.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Stan Sport is the only place to watch the 2024 IndyCar Series.<\/strong><\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/9.nine.com.au\/DnH61N\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>All the action streaming ad free, live and on demand<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Chadwick, 26, defeated Andretti Global teammate Louis Foster by 0.823 seconds on the 14-turn course.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"1a4e706c-8077-4d0d-a77a-e67e37109bae\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/1a4e706c-8077-4d0d-a77a-e67e37109bae\" alt=\"Jamie Chadwick celebrates winning the Indy NXT race at Road America.\" data-width=\"3636\" data-height=\"2424\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The British driver joined Ana Beatriz and Pippa Mann as the only women to win an Indy NXT race.<\/p>\n<p>Beatriz won in 2008 at Nashville and 2009 at Iowa. Mann won at Kentucky in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe kind of talk about not having too much pressure early on,\u201d Chadwick said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the same time I really want to show what women are capable of in this sport. I strongly believe women are capable of getting to the highest level.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We have an amazing young generation coming through. There are so many great women in the sport.
