B\ufeffrisbane<\/a> has shown they're still a force to be reckoned with, picking apart the Western Bulldogs<\/a> by 43 points on Friday night at Marvel Stadium.<\/p>\n

The win gives Lions fans genuine hope that they could reach September glory once again, but there's still work to do.<\/p>\n

Now sitting 12th with a 5-6-1 record, Chris Fagan's men are only six points out of the top eight.\ufeff<\/p>\n

And one man had his name all over the Lions' win \u2013 dual Brownlow medallist Lachie Neale<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With 38 disposals and \ufeffa whopping 10 clearances, as well as two goals, it was Neale's ball all night.<\/p>\n

Lions big man Eric Hipwood kicked six goals in a career-best night.<\/p>\n

Neale praised the Lions' midfielders' work to clamp down on the Dogs star mids, with Marcus Bontempelli held to just 19 disposals, despite kicking three goals.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"\ufeffWe've been challenged. I feel like we've set ourselves for the good midfields like Gold Coast and Melbourne and the Bulldogs," Neale said on 7 post match.<\/p>\n

"We've just got to do it more consistently now, we've let ourselves down a few times in the midfield.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

The victory didn't come without some controversy, however.<\/p>\n

That controversy came right on the three-quarter-time siren, with Neale literally kicking a goal as the bell rang out.<\/p>\n

The ball hit his boot as the siren sounded, snapping through for a goal to give Brisbane a 32-point lead heading into the final term.<\/p>\n

While it was given a goal by the umpires, Bulldogs fans were not happy with the call, considering they were also sitting 20-6 down in free kicks at that stage in the game.<\/p>\n

\ufeffBrisbane has six more games left at their home ground, the Gabba, with hopes they can still push for finals if they win another handful of matches.<\/p>\n

The Lions face off against St Kilda in round 14 at the Gabba, before a clash with Port Adelaide the following week at Adelaide Oval.\ufeff<\/p>\n
