Stephen Crichton<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Defended strongly, shutting down several dangerous Queensland attacking moves, but had few chances with the ball.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Nicho Hynes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Struggled to make an impact on the big stage steering the team around the park and is likely to lose his spot to Mitchell Moses for game two in Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>8. Jake Trbojevic<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Curiously the skipper was given less than half an hour of game time and made just 37 metres from five runs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"10e46328-ba34-4010-832c-475dc62fc635\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/10e46328-ba34-4010-832c-475dc62fc635-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Where is Trbojevic?\" data-width=\"3000\" data-height=\"2001\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Reece Robson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Made 50 tackles &#8211; the most of anyone at Accor Stadium &#8211; but the Blues need a more dangerous dummyhalf to have any hope of squaring the series in game two.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Payne Haas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>His numbers and impact were well down on his club form for the Broncos, running for under 100 metres for the first time all year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>11. Liam Martin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Played 75 minutes but made just 67 metres in attack and missed some vital tackles. Could struggle to hold his spot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>12. Angus Crichton<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ran the ball up strongly but missed eight tackles and was well down on his club form for the Roosters.Rating: 5<\/p>\n<p><strong>13. Cameron McInnes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Busy in attack, busy in defence, but lacked the power to hurt Queensland in either part of the game.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>14. Isaah Yeo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Added enthusiasm and yardage from the bench but the intercept he threw to Cherry-Evans was a bad moment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>15. Haumole Olakau&#x27;atu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only got just over 20 minutes in his Origin debut and looked dangerous without being able to break the Queensland line. Will learn from it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>16. Reece Walsh<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Was always going to be targeted by the defence and was brutally KOd early. Passed his HIA, but wasn&#x27;t allowed back on\u2026 odd!!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Xavier Coates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Had few opportunities with time and space yet still ran for over 200 metres and scored a fine try.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Valentine Holmes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A polished performance, making over 150 metres with the ball and kicking seven goals from as many attempts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Moved to fullback when Walsh was KO&#x27;d early and shone, scoring two first half tries and saving another, them completing his hat-trick in the dying stages. Most dangerous player on the field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img data-video-id=\"6354358399112\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/pickerimage-28.jpg\" alt=\"Hammer double strike puts Blues on their knees\" data-vms-id=\"ref:clx1pap5s000d0hpidhxqf6gp\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Murray Taulagi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Got plenty of chances down the left flank and came up with two try assists and two line breaks to really hurt the Blues out wide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Tom Dearden<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Proved the ideal foil for Cherry-Evans, running for over 100 metres, linking well with his outside men and coming up with a try assist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Daly Cherry-Evans<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Led the Maroons in fine style, having a hand in several tries, kicking a 40\/20 and plucking an intercept. A true Origin specialist who&#x27;s getting better with age.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"2d56ab0d-10a7-4ff3-afac-e2d7289ccbc7\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/2d56ab0d-10a7-4ff3-afac-e2d7289ccbc7-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-width=\"3987\" data-height=\"2658\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>8. Reuben Cotter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A little quieter than in his previous Origin games, making just 77 metres from nine runs, but solid in the middle in defence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Ben Hunt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tough competitor just made for Origin football, scored a try in each half and gave the Blues headache after headache.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img data-video-id=\"6354362914112\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/pickerimage-29.jpg\" alt=\"Hunt seals game with runaway try\" data-vms-id=\"ref:clx1rnv9i000f0gmt8klxjap2\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Lindsay Collins<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dominated the Blues&#x27; middle forwards with his strong running game and big hits in defence. Gets better with every Origin he plays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>11. Jaydn Su&#x27;a<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wasn&#x27;t overly prominent but created one try with a fine offload and worked hard in defence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>12. Jeremiah Nanai<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A player better known for his attack, he topped the Maroons&#x27; tackle count and got few chances with ball in hand.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>13. Patrick Carrigan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Impressive with his running game, making the most metres of any Queensland forward and working hard from start to finish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img data-video-id=\"6354364804112\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/pickerimage-30.jpg\" alt=\"State of Origin Game 1 Highlights\" data-vms-id=\"ref:clx1stlpm000j0hqcmlxt9bnz\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>14. Harry Grant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Looked like troubling the Blues when he replaced Hunt at hooker but wasn&#x27;t quite ever able to break through the line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>15. Moeaki Fotuaika<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only made 53 metres with the ball but left several Blues battered and bruised with his brutal defence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>16. J&#x27;Maine Hopgood<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Felt his way in his Origin debut, didn&#x27;t get a lot of game time but looked at home and will be better next time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>17. Selwyn Cobbo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Terrorised the Blues when injected into the game early following Walsh&#x27;s departure, playing a role in two tries and running for 150 metres.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating: 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>18.
