The Brumbies, Reds and Rebels are flying the flag for Australia as the Super Rugby Pacific quarter-finals<\/a> kick off in Hamilton on Friday.<\/p>\n

An Australian team hasn't won a title since the Waratahs<\/a> in 2014.<\/p>\n

Tom Lynagh has been reinstated in the No.10 jersey as the Reds look to continue their strong recent record against the Chiefs in Hamilton.<\/p>\n

Lynagh came off the bench last weekend to kick the winning penalty from nearly 50m against the Waratahs in Sydney.<\/p>\n

He replaces \ufeffLawson Creighton in the starting side.<\/p>\n

"Tom's finals experience last year pays forward for us," Reds coach Les Kiss said.<\/p>\n

"With Lawson from the bench, it's a combo that's worked well for us this season. I'm very confident in the job they'll do."<\/p>\n

The Reds have won three of their last five games against the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

"Finals footy – it's exciting and a different beast," Kiss said.<\/p>\n

"You've got to love it. Winning in Hamilton will be a difficult task.<\/p>\n

"If we commit to playing our style, we've got a chance against a good Chiefs side. We have had some positive results against New Zealand teams this season. That experience and what we've learnt in close matches will stand us in good stead but it doesn't guarantee you anything. I'm more than comfortable we have the players to turn up for those special moments that come in games like this."<\/p>\n

HURRICANES (1) vs REBELS (6) in Wellington, Saturday \ufeff2.35pm kickoff AEST<\/strong><\/p>\n

TJ Perenara will start at halfback for the Hurricanes after shrugging off an injury scare.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old suffered a knee injury in last weekend's win over the Highlanders but \ufeffhas been named in the No.9 jersey.<\/p>\n

The Hurricanes also welcome back captain Brad Shields from injury via the bench although All Blacks prop Tyrel Lomax remains sidelined.<\/p>\n

The soon-to-be-extinct Rebels are at extreme odds to upset \ufeffthe minor premiers but Hurricanes coach Clark Laidlaw remains respectful.<\/p>\n

"We're under no illusion," Laidlaw said.<\/p>\n

"The Melbourne Rebels have an exciting backline and their X factor is a real threat, with numerous ball carriers across the field. It'll be an amazing match."<\/p>\n

The Rebels welcome back Carter Gordon and Rob Leota \ufeffafter the Wallabies duo missed time with a concussion.<\/p>\n

"When we do leave, we want to leave with our heads held high, making sure we are proud of who we are as people", Rebels coach Kevin Foote said.<\/p>\n

"It's quarter-finals, it's something special for us and there's a lot of excitement around that. We don't want to just be the greatest Rebels team of all time, but we want to do something really special."<\/p>\n
