Coco Gauff<\/a> produced a defiant comeback to defeat Ons Jabeur<\/a> at the French Open on Tuesday night (AEST) to reach the semi finals at Roland-Garros<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old dropped the first set, but rallied back to topple the eighth seed in reasonably convincing fashion 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.<\/p>\n

Gauff won her first major last year at the US Open, before making the semis at the Australian Open in January.<\/p>\n

Speaking post-match, Gauff acknowledged the crowd was against her and admitted Jabeuer proved a tough obstacle to overcome.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was playing really well the whole match," Gauff said.<\/p>\n

"She was hitting a lot of winners on me, which is something I\u2019m not used to against anybody. I was just trying to just be aggressive.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s a tough opponent and she\u2019s well-loved on tour. I could tell by the crowd today – I know you guys wanted her to win. Even though you guys were for Ons, I really had a lot of fun, even when I lost the first set. I have a lot of love here in Paris."<\/p>\n

Gauff is now on a collision course with world No.1 Iga Swiatek<\/a>, who made light work of Marketa Vondrousova in a straight-sets victory and is pushing for a fourth title at Roland-Garros in the past five years.<\/p>\n

Swiatek cruised past her opponent in straight sets 6-0 6-2 to advance to the semis. \ufeff<\/p>\n
