Caroline Wilson<\/a> has slammed the mismanagement of Hawthorn<\/a>'s racism saga, revealing that the AFL is fearing for the "wellbeing" of former coaches Alastair Clarkson<\/a> and Chris Fagan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It comes after Wilson uncovered the Hawks offer to six individuals of up to $300,000 to settle the racism scandal that has rocked their club<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That followed two reports from Justice John Middleton and Gordon Legal indicating that there was "no bias whatsoever" that a subculture of racism existed at the Hawks between 2008 to 2015.<\/p>\n

It followed confirmation that mediation broke down between former senior coaches and players, with the matter now likely to head to federal court.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Nine's Footy Classified<\/em>, Wilson said she was disgusted that the investigations and allegations have been "shouldered" by just Clarkson, Fagan and former \ufeffstaffer Jason Burt.<\/p>\n

"The two senior AFL coaches have been to the brink on more than one occasion. The emotional brink, this season. And it's not over yet," Wilson said.Footy Classified<\/em> on Monday night.<\/p>\n

"For three individuals to shoulder the burden on behalf of an entire club, is just wrong\ufeff.<\/p>\n

"Let's face it, this process has been flawed from the start."<\/p>\n

Wilson expressed concerns around the trio's wellbeing, considering they have been "cleared by the AFL" for their part in the allegations.<\/p>\n

"They (Clarkson and Fagan) and Jason Burt\ufeff have been cleared by the AFL of any wrongdoing, and they've denied the allegations against them," she said.<\/p>\n

"The AFL … is deeply worried about Fagan and Clarkson and their wellbeing."<\/p>\n

\ufeffIt comes after Cyril Rioli, his partner Shannyn Ah Sam Rioli, Jermaine Miller-Lewis, his wife Montana Miller-Lewis, Carl Peterson and Hawthorn's former Indigenous welfare officer Leon Egan were all offered $50,000 as part of a rejected settlement last week.<\/p>\n

"Personally, I think Hawthorn was ill-equipped to deal with the challenges \ufeffposed and suffered by some First Nations families who came to the club," she said.<\/p>\n

"Nor did Hawthorn at times prioritise those challenges."<\/p>\n
