W\ufeffallabies<\/a> coach Joe Schmidt<\/a> has wasted no time wiping the slate clean, leaving out some big names including NRL-bound flyer Mark Nawaqanitawase from the train-on squad ahead of two upcoming Test series.<\/p>\n

According to The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>, Nawaqanitawase was omitted from the group following the conclusion of the Super Rugby campaign, while the likes of Izzy Perese, Lachlan Swinton and Ned Hanigan were also left out.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old, who will join the Sydney Roosters next season<\/a>, was one of Australia's better performers at a treacherous World Cup last year.<\/p>\n

Nawaqanitawase had a mixed campaign for the NSW Waratahs as they finished at the bottom of the table, pushing him down the pecking order for Wallabies selection.<\/p>\n

His absence from the train\ufeff-on squad, which includes players from the Waratahs and Western Force after both teams missed the finals, comes at the same time that NRL star Joseph Suaalii<\/a> was picked for State of Origin despite his own code switch.<\/p>\n
