9News<\/em> and The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a> reporter Michael Chammas has revealed the club has issued a show-cause notice to May after breaches of their code of conduct.<\/p>\n

May is currently stood down by the NRL under the no-fault policy<\/a> after being charged with domestic violence offences, to which has pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n

The club presented the 23-year-old with multiple breaches from his time in the NRL squad dating back several years, but does not include the latest allegations ahead of his court date next year. <\/p>\n

The Herald<\/em> reports that May will face the Penrith board next Tuesday in relation to a number of other off-field misdemeanours during his time at Penrith.<\/p>\n

Both the club and May's agent declined to comment on Monday. The decision to issue May with a show-cause notice has reportedly been driven by the club's board.<\/p>\n
