<\/strong>Joe Daniher<\/strong><\/a> has played a starring role in his first appearance for the Brisbane Lions, kicking four goals in the team's practice match against Gold Coast.<\/p>\n

Daniher, who joined the Lions during the trade period last year<\/a>, kicked two of his four majors in the opening quarter against what was an under-manned Suns lineup.<\/p>\n

The 2017 All-Australian's recruitment was the headline act in another strong off-season for the Lions, and the left-footer appears to be past the groin problems that crippled his final three seasons with Essendon.<\/p>\n

Daniher was not the only ex-Bomber to enjoy a strong outing for his new club, with Carlton recruit Adam Saad<\/strong> slotting into the Blues' backline nicely against his old side.<\/p>\n

Saad and Zac Williams<\/strong> were both on show in Carlton's 21-point win over Essendon, with Williams starting the match in the Blues' engine room alongside the likes of captain Patrick Cripps.<\/p>\n

The other star to switch homes during last year's trade period, Jeremy Cameron<\/strong>, also enjoyed a successful outing for his new club Geelong.<\/p>\n

Cameron, who has dealt with some hamstring issues during the off-season, was rested in the second half after kicking a goal early on in the contest. <\/p>\n

The left-footer was deployed high up the ground by Chris Scott, with Tom Hawkins played in a deeper forward role inside 50.<\/p>\n

Former Essendon livewire Orazio Fantasia<\/strong> also booted multiple goals in his first outing for Port Adelaide, as the Power racked up a huge win over cross-town rivals Adelaide.<\/p>\n

While the scoreboard wasn't in Adelaide's favour, Crows fans will be licking their lips after seeing the club's top draft selection, Riley Thilthorpe<\/strong>, in action in the team's SANFL clash.<\/p>\n

Thilthorpe's obvious potential was on full show as he booted four goals in a best on ground performance and is all but certain to be in Adelaide's team for Round 1.<\/p>\n

The No.2 pick was not the only player from last year's draft crop to excite fans during the scratch matches, with Collingwood's Ollie Henry<\/strong> and Essendon duo Nik Cox<\/strong> and Archie Perkins<\/strong> also impressing their respective fanbases. <\/p>\n
