G\ufeffeelong<\/a>'s nightmare month just got a whole lot worse, with not one, but two of their players slapped with bans from the MRO after their four-point loss to GWS<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Utility Mark Blicavs was handed a one-match ban for his rough conduct, late bump on Giants star Lachie Whitfield.<\/p>\n

Whitfield handballed in the Giants' defensive 50 in the final term, with Blicavs choosing to bump after he had released the ball.<\/p>\n

The late bump was graded as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, young midfielder Jhye Clark has also been offered a one-week suspension for a similar act on Whitfield.<\/p>\n

He hit Whitfield after he kicked the ball in the second term.<\/p>\n

Whitfield continued to play after both incidents.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The club is yet to decide if they'll challenge the bans.<\/p>\n

The bans come after the Cats four-point loss to the Giants at home on Saturday afternoon, handing the 2022 premiers their fourth loss in as many weeks.<\/p>\n

\ufeffIt is the first time in Chris Scott<\/a>'s coaching career with the Cats that he has gone 0-4.<\/p>\n

It's also the first time Geelong has gone 0-4 since early 2006.<\/p>\n

Geelong now sit sixth on the ladder after their most recent loss.<\/p>\n
