Mason Cox<\/a> was subbed off just minutes after an awkward landing on his knee in Collingwood<\/a>'s clash against Fremantle<\/a> on Friday night.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Cox drifted across the pack to spoil a marking contest in Collingwood's defensive 50 in the third term.<\/p>\n

He took a heavy hit to his ribs, competing with Docker Jye Amiss whose knee went into his ribs, falling to the turf, with his knee getting caught underneath him.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The Pies ruckman was down on the ground for 30 seconds in agony, before being helped to his feet and walking himself off Optus Stadium.<\/p>\n

\ufeffAfter being assessed on the bench, Cox was rushed down to the rooms, where the substitution was made just a minute later.<\/p>\n

Cox had already been taken off the ground after suffering a blood nose and then a later cut to his face earlier in the match.\ufeff<\/p>\n

It meant debutant Wil Parker got his chance.<\/p>\n

Parker was drafted to the Pies as a category B rookie at the start of the year, joining the club after a stint as a cricketer, playing for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield and Hobart in the BBL.<\/p>\n

In the final term, the Pies were forced down to three on the bench, after removing Brody Mihocek with hamstring awareness.\ufeff<\/p>\n
