He also believes he is a scapegoat in the situation.<\/p>\n<p>This week, the <a href=\"https:\/\/tssaa.org\/\">Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association<\/a> (TSSAA) ruled that Clinton High School (Clinton, Tennessee) will vacate all of its football wins from last season.\u00a0 Per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wvlt.tv\/2024\/05\/21\/clinton-high-school-forfeit-all-2023-football-wins-playing-ineligible-athlete-after-grade-changing-accusations\/\">WVLT 8<\/a>, a student-athlete who played for the football team \u201cdid not earn the required number of credits the previous school year to be academically eligible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A controversy alleging that the grades of Clinton students were changed has also rocked the school. Because of the scandal, principal Dan Jenkins resigned and two teachers were terminated (according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/sports\/other\/two-teachers-fired-principal-resigns-amid-grade-fixing-investigation-in-anderson-county-schools\/ar-BB1mrZnP?ocid=BingNewsSerp\">WBIR television in Knoxville<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The contract of Darrell Keith, the head football coach at Clinton, was not renewed.<\/p>\n<p>In speaking about the situation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wvlt.tv\/2024\/05\/22\/im-scapegoat-former-clinton-high-school-football-coach-says-he-did-not-know-about-grade-changes\/\">WVLT reports<\/a> that Keith &#8220;had had no access to change grades.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a scapegoat,&#8221; Keith told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wvlt.tv\/2024\/05\/22\/im-scapegoat-former-clinton-high-school-football-coach-says-he-did-not-know-about-grade-changes\/\">WVLT<\/a>. &#8220;I spent 27 years, faithfully in the United States Military. I don\u2019t know if it was because I am Black or an easy target.
