An overmatched schoolboys \ufeffplayer was carried more than 20m back towards his own try line in a viral tackle reminiscent of George North's iconic pick up of Israel Folau.<\/a><\/p>\n

The \ufefftrouble started when the Goudveld High halfback made the mistake of challenging the defence of a Welkom Gimnasium forward in the South African derby match.<\/p>\n

But instead of knocking the No.9 to the grass in a regular tackle, the \ufeffWelkom powerhouse picked him up and carted him backwards at a rate of knots with ball in hand (watch the video in the player above).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The \ufeffrattled Goudveld player then attempted to throw a forward pass towards a teammate to end the pain but the tackler kept driving him back before eventually dumping him down.<\/p>\n

"I would quite simply never play the game again. Might also migrate to Antarctica forever," Twitter user @rugby_ap quipped.<\/p>\n

"George North lives," added Riaan Louw in reference to North's famous 2013 tackle on Wallabies star Folau during the British and Irish Lions tour of Australia.<\/p>\n
