D\ufeffaniel Ricciardo<\/a> has experienced another dramatic slide, this time at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Sunday morning AEST, Ricciardo \ufeffrecorded his best qualifying result this season after clocking the ninth fastest time<\/a>. However, he failed to convert his position into points during the grand prix overnight. <\/p>\n

The former Red Bull driver dropped two places during the race start after losing out to Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg in the congestion\ufeff.<\/p>\n

While Perez \ufeffstarted out of position in 11th, Ricciardo was most concerned by Hulkenberg getting through, claiming he had more pace than the Haas when in clean air.<\/p>\n

As was the case in Miami, Ricciardo \ufeffspent most of his opening stint stuck in traffic, significantly hampering his race.<\/p>\n

"Obviously from my side, I'm sure there's still a bit to find, but when we had clear air the pace was okay," Ricciardo said afterwards.<\/p>\n

Ricciardo \ufeffvoiced his frustration at the RB<\/a> challenger's poor race starts which he believes is preventing the team from performing better.<\/p>\n

"In the midfield we're in, it's now the smaller details," he said. <\/p>\n

"Of course, it starts with me, but then there are little things, like the start \u2014 we work hard for the qualifying position, we need to obviously consolidate that.<\/p>\n

\"Daniel<\/p>\n

"I know there are always what-ifs, but if Yuki [Tsunoda] and myself took off in positions and stayed in front of Hulkenberg \u2014 he's the best example \u2014 I feel we could've stayed in front the whole race and probably gone a little bit better with the pack.<\/p>\n

"I'm not saying we had the pace of the top eight cars, but our race looks completely different. Small details I think make big differences, but we do have a decent package, so it's now those one percenters."<\/p>\n

Ricciardo started the 63-lap race on medium tyres before pitting on lap 11 for a set of hards in an attempt to undercut Hulkenberg.<\/p>\n

However, Haas reacted two laps later with the future Sauber driver holding his place.<\/p>\n

Ricciardo finished 13th in the grand prix after later losing out to Lance Stroll before being passed by Kevin Magnussen on the final lap.<\/p>\n

For the \ufefffifth time this season, Ricciardo was outperformed by his RB teammate Tsunoda<\/a> who is experiencing his most consistent season to date.<\/p>\n

The Japanese driver \ufeffalso lost two places during the opening lap after lining up seventh on the grid. <\/p>\n

However, his 10th-place finish secured a valuable point for the team to strengthen its position ahead of their midfield rivals in the constructors' standings.<\/p>\n

Now tallying 20 pints\ufeff, RB is positioned sixth \u2014 13 points ahead of Haas and only 24 points behind Aston Martin.<\/p>\n
