W\ufeffayne Bennett<\/a> will return to South Sydney<\/a> next year after agreeing to a three-year deal to coach the team.<\/p>\n

The 74-year-old supercoach \ufeffhas agreed to a contract worth $3 million, according to The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Herald reports Rabbitohs powerbrokers flew to Brisbane this week to get the deal across the line.<\/p>\n

While Bennett hasn't yet signed the papers, that is expected to be done in the coming days.\ufeff<\/p>\n

It ends weeks of speculation he was set to head back to Sydney for a second stint with the Bunnies.<\/p>\n

They sacked Jason Demetriou as head coach a fortnight ago, and have installed Ben Hornby in an interim capacity.<\/p>\n

\ufeffDemetriou was an apprentice under Bennett at both the Broncos and Rabbitohs, but was axed after a dire 12-month run for the NRL team.<\/p>\n

The Rabbitohs sit bottom of the NRL table after 10 rounds this season.<\/p>\n
