Tottenham<\/a> manager Ange Postecolgou berated a Spurs fan during his side's 2-0 loss to Manchester City as the Aussie boss questioned the foundations of the club.<\/p>\n

Erling Haaland scored twice as Manchester City moved to within one win of a record fourth-straight Premier League title.<\/p>\n

The three-time defending champions will go into the final round of games on Monday with a two-point lead on second-placed Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Haaland fired Pep Guardiola's team ahead in the 51st minute at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when he converted Kevin De Bruyne's cross from close range.<\/p>\n

He struck his second from the penalty spot in the first minute of stoppage time after Pedro Porro had brought down Jeremy Doku.<\/p>\n

City's win also meant Aston Villa secured fourth place and qualification for next season's Champions League ahead of Tottenham in fifth.<\/p>\n

Postecoglou shot down suggestions ahead of the game that Tottenham supporters would want their own side to lose if it meant denying the Gunners a first title in 20 years.<\/p>\n

Yet\ufeff with the meek crowd in attendance who mocked Arsenal in the final minutes, the Australian admitted he had "misread" the situation.<\/p>\n

The Aussie was also captured berating a Tottenham fan\ufeff behind the team's bench but it's unclear what was said.<\/p>\n

When asked about the state of the club, the Aussie boss was honest in his assessment.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"No, I think the last 48 hours to me have revealed to me the foundations are fairly fragile," the Spurs boss said.<\/p>\n

"That's what I feel.<\/p>\n

"The last 48 hours has revealed a fair bit to me. That's all right, that just means I've got to go back to the drawing board with some things. Outside [the club], inside. It's been an interesting exercise."<\/p>\n

The former Celtic boss was also asked on whether his frustration was aimed at the fans or those inside the club.<\/p>\n

"(I) Don't care. Outside, inside, everywhere. It's been an interesting exercise," he added.<\/p>\n

While Haaland\u2019s goals were decisive, City had to rely on substitute goalkeeper Stefan Ortega to keep Spurs at bay as the home team pushed for an equaliser.<\/p>\n

Coming on in the 69th after Ederson had sustained a head injury in a collision with Cristian Romero, Ortega quickly had to block a close-range effort from Dejan Kulusevski.<\/p>\n

Later he produced another save to deny the Spurs forward, but Ortega's finest moment came in the 86th when Son Heung-min raced through on goal.<\/p>\n

With only the keeper to beat, Son looked certain to score as he fired low toward the corner \u2014 a draw would have put Arsenal in the driver\u2019s seat for the title heading into the season finale \u2014 but he could only watch as Ortega shot out a leg to deflect the ball.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, Doku lured Porro into a lunge in the Spurs box and referee Chris Kavanagh pointed to the spot.<\/p>\n
