Gun forward Tom Flegler could miss the entire State of Origin<\/a> series and the rest of the 2024 NRL<\/a> season.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe 24-year-old prop was a marquee signing for the Dolphins this year<\/a> after jumping ship from Brisbane.<\/p>\n

But coach \ufeffWayne Bennett<\/a> on Tuesday revealed Flegler may not play again this year due to a shoulder injury.<\/p>\n

Flegler suffered a nerve injury against the Tigers in round five, but did not require surgery.<\/p>\n

Bennett told AAP the star could "absolutely" miss the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"We don't know with Flegler. He may not play (again) this season," Bennett said.<\/p>\n

"It is a long way from where he is fit enough to play. The injury is very serious.<\/p>\n

"He has had the injury and we all know what the consequences are."<\/p>\n

It also means Flegler will almost certainly miss the Origin series for Queensland.<\/p>\n
