The Gold Coast Titans<\/a> have been dealt a horror blow after Kieran Foran<\/a>, AJ Brimson and Phillip Sami failed to finish the match against North Queensland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Foran left with the field in the 59th minute, clutching at his right upper leg as Sam Verrills replaced him.<\/p>\n

Nine's sideline reporter Emma Lawrence revealed Foran said it was a hamstring strain, ruling him out for the game. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The injury for Foran comes after fellow half Tanah Boyd dislocated his wrist \ufeffand won't return until round 16.<\/p>\n

Despite the halfback leaving the field, the Titans managed to hold on for a 20-18 win<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The match started with the departing David Fifita being booed after his first two runs as the Titans hit the lead with a penalty goal early.<\/p>\n

After 20 minutes, the Titans eventually scored the first try through Jojo Fifta \ufeffbefore David Fifita and AJ Brimson also went over to deliver a 20-0 lead at half-time.<\/p>\n

In the second half, the first try wasn't scored until the 60th minute when Jeremiah Nanai \ufeffput the Cowboys on the board.<\/p>\n

The injury carnage continued for the Titans with AJ Brimson leaving the field 10 minutes before full-time with a groin injury. \ufeffWinger Phillip Sami was also ruled out in the first half with a hamstring problem.<\/p>\n

Nanai scored his second late in the second half to keep the Cowboys in the game at \ufeff20-12, before Kyle Feldt scored another try for the Cowboys \ufeffwith only two minutes left on the clock to make it a two point ball game.<\/p>\n

Foran's sideline reaction was priceless with the half putting his hands on his head.<\/p>\n

The injury crisis continued with Harley Smith-Shields leaving the field for the Titans with a potential shoulder injury. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Coach Des Hasler confirmed the centre will not return for the remainder of the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffHarley did a pec so he's gone for the season," Hasler said in the post-match press conference.<\/p>\n

"We've got about two hamstrings, one groin, and a pec injury … so that puts about five halves sitting on the sideline."<\/p>\n

Hasler joked that he will have to call upon former league players to come out of retirement to fill the hole in the halves.<\/p>\n

"I think we've got Brad Davis and Michael Monaghan. We might have to get them back out of retirement," he said.<\/p>\n

"We've got a week to work it out. We will be alright. We will come up with something."\ufeff<\/p>\n
