New Zealand's C\ufeffarlos Ulberg<\/a> put his name in the record books on Sunday, producing a stunning 12-second UFC<\/a> knockout against Alonzo Menifield.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old Auckland native made light work of his light heavyweight opponent in St Louis, dropping Menifield in the early stages of the first round.<\/p>\n

Ulberg's win is the third-fastest knockout in the history of the 205-pound division and extends his winning run inside the octagon to six.<\/p>\n

Speaking inside the cage post-fight, Ulberg admitted he was wary of his opponent's firepower and claimed an early blow 'woke him up' and brought out his aggression. <\/p>\n

"We knew coming up against a guy like Alonzo Menifield to be worried about his power – he does have a lot of power," he said.<\/p>\n

"As long as I stuck to the game plan with my coaches – we knew he was gonna come forward. We did expect something like that, he did catch me and that wo\ufeffke me up.<\/p>\n

Ulberg will move closer to the top-10 rankings and called out any of his rivals and promised to "destroy anybody" who steps to him. <\/p>\n

Menifield was ranked 11th in the hotly-contested division prior to Sunday's bout, with champion Alex Pereira leading the charge<\/a>. <\/p>\n
