NSW Blues<\/a> coach Michael Maguire can breathe a sigh of relief with Nicho Hynes<\/a> set to still be in contention for Origin \ufeffafter he was ruled out late for Cronulla.<\/p>\n

Hynes' name didn't appear on the final team list for his side's clash against Melbourne due to a calf injury.<\/p>\n

The Sharks managed to claim a big scalp without their star halfback, beating the Storm in Melbourne \ufeff25-18<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Coach Craig Fitzgibbon revealed post-game he believes Hynes should be OK for next weekend's match against the Roosters. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"\ufeffYeah, I think so. It happened pretty late, he feels OK, we'll have to assess it in the next 24 hours," he said.<\/p>\n

"It was after captain's run so we haven't had a great deal of time to assess it. I would suggest it's not significant thought so he's a good chance."<\/p>\n

Hynes' hiccup comes as Maguire mulls over his halves options.<\/p>\n

Nathan Cleary is reportedly facing eight weeks on the sideline<\/a> due to another hamstring injury<\/a>. Mitchell Moses is currently out too with a foot injury and could be back just before Origin teams are picked.<\/p>\n

Adam Reynolds is also out of contention with a bicep injury.<\/p>\n

After the Sharks' win, Hynes indicated there's no set date for his return but believes he's a chance to play the Roosters. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"It's going to be a day-to-day process at the moment, it would've been too much of a risk today\ufeff, hopefully I can get up for next week," he told Fox League.<\/p>\n
