One of England<\/a>'s greatest ever bowlers James Anderson<\/a> \ufeffhas announced his retirement from Test cricket<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post, the 41-year-old announced July's series opener against the West Indies at Lord's would be his final Test match.<\/p>\n

"It's been an incredible 20 years representing my country, playing the game I've loved since I was a kid," he wrote.<\/p>\n

"I'm going to miss walking out for England so much. But I know the time is right to step aside and let others realise their dreams just like I got to, because there is no greater feeling.<\/p>\n

"I couldn't have done it without the love and support of Daniella, Lola, Ruby and my parents. A huge thank you to them.<\/p>\n

Anderson has played 187 Tests for England and currently has 700 wickets. Only Muthiah Muralidaran and Shane Warne sit ahead of him on the Test cricket leading wicket-takers list.<\/p>\n
