The Reds trailed 15-5 at the break but were 26-22 winners by full-time in a gutsy but ugly win against the Rebels.<\/p>\n
In a tit-for-tat contest, the momentum swung early in the first half as the Rebels put points on the board first thanks to a penalty kick.<\/p>\n
The Reds were the first to score \ufeffthrough Matt Faessler in the 16th minute off the back of a line-out, driving a maul across the like.<\/p>\n
The Rebels responded almost immediately in the 19th minute. Andrew Kellaway came roaring up fielding an off-load from \ufeffFilipo Daugunu before busting through the Reds' defence.<\/p>\n

In the melee, Kellaway copped a forearm to the face. For his troubles, Hunter Paisami was sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes. The Rebels converted the kick and led 10-5.<\/p>\n
That became 15-5 when Sam Talaka received a quick ball off the back of the breakdown, driving head-first for the try line to extend their lead.<\/p>\n
The kick was a fairly straightforward one for Carter Gordon, but he fluffed it and so the score remained 15-5 going into the break.<\/p>\n
The Reds threatened early in the second half and in the 55th minute, Fraser McReight barged his way over the line off the back of a lineout.<\/p>\n

That was the first of three quick tries. The next came courtesy of Josh Campbell who drew in Rebels defenders and he stepped left and right.<\/p>\n
Not a single hand was laid on him as he skipped away and scored the third try of the night for the Reds in the 59th minute.<\/p>\n
With just over 62 minutes on the board, Paisami broke the line before off-loading to the 'Junkyard Dog' Tim Ryan who sprinted for the try line for the final Reds try of the night.<\/p>\n
The Rebels had been kept out of the contest in the second half until the final 15 minutes.<\/p>\n
