Kylian Mbappe's<\/a> hopes of winning the UEFA Champions League<\/a> with Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> are over.<\/p>\n

The star striker literally stumbled at the final hurdle, as he fell trying to seal his last chance to score a consolation goal.<\/p>\n

Mbappe, reportedly bound for Real Madrid, sunk into the ground as he and his teammates realised their Champions League dreams had been dashed.<\/p>\n

PSG trailed Borussia Dortmund going into the second leg of their tie.<\/p>\n

In France, they were the dominant side, scoring in the 50th minute courtesy of a Julian Brandt corner that was headed in by central defender Mats Hummels.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That came just moments after Warren Za\u00efre-Emery missed a shot at an open goal that would have levelled the score on aggregate.<\/p>\n

Former Socceroos player Craig Foster lauded Dortmund for their equal parts attack and defence before laying into PSG.<\/p>\n

"The problem for me was when they conceded the goal then the speed of play went up at least 40 per cent from PSG. It's too late," said Foster.<\/p>\n

"Shocking. All of a sudden Vitinha is driving the ball everywhere. He's creating things. Where were you?"<\/p>\n

Mark Bosnich added, "Absolutely spot on. They should have started playing at that tempo.<\/p>\n
