C\ufeffaroline Wilson<\/a> says Western Bulldogs<\/a> coach Luke Beveridge<\/a> is "deluded" in his belief that external media have created a narrative that his club are not on the same page.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs copped an eight-point loss at the hands of Hawthorn in round eight,\ufeff and Beveridge's future is up in the air.<\/p>\n

Now, Wilson believes the coach needs to pull his head in and focus solely on the club's internal narrative and push for finals.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Luke is deluded if he thinks we dictate the narrative," Wilson said on Nine's Footy Classified<\/em> on Monday night.<\/p>\n

"His board and his administration dictate the narrative. His supporters and members of the Western Bulldogs, who are so frustrated with what's going on at the moment, dictate the narrative.\ufeff<\/p>\n

\"Beveridge<\/p>\n

"It's deluded to think his problems are media based. His problems are performance based."<\/p>\n

It comes as the pressure continues to mount on Beveridge's future at the helm.<\/p>\n

Wilson believes the coach won't keep his job if the Dogs fail to make finals in 2024.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"They need to make finals. If they don't make finals, I don't think Luke Beveridge will be there next year," she said.<\/p>\n

"He knows, the club knows it."<\/p>\n

Wilson questioned if the Bulldogs' off-season review, which saw Beveridge's role reduced to help him focus on coaching, has even had any positive impact this season.<\/p>\n

"I'm not still sure exactly what role Chris Grant is playing," Wilson said.<\/p>\n

"The changes seemed to me, were basically saying 'the coach has had too much power, he's made some wrong decisions, he hasn't handled situations well and he should have had more strength around him'.<\/p>\n

"I don't see that as necessarily happening, at the end of that review."<\/p>\n

Kane Cornes\ufeff says the "decision" of Beveridge's future will be clear well before the end of 2024.<\/p>\n

"The decision … of what a pass mark is, is going to come to a head," he said.<\/p>\n

"This decision will be made for them in the next five or six weeks."<\/p>\n

But the club won't axe the 2016 premiership coach before season's end, according to Matthew Lloyd.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"They have too much respect\ufeff for him to let him go (before the end of the year)," Lloyd said.<\/p>\n

"I know that Luke Beveridge in terms of what he's done for the club, a premiership and grand final, I'd be staggered if they let him go before the end of the year.\ufeff"<\/p>\n
