L\ufeffeague legend Paul Gallen<\/a> believes there's one positive to come from Adam Reynolds' bicep injury<\/a> as the Broncos look to stay in the top eight without him.<\/p>\n

Reynolds<\/a> is unlikely to be back before finals after rupturing his bicep against the Roosters.<\/p>\n

It comes at a horrible time for the Broncos with backup half battling a pectoral problem as reserve grade star Josh Rogers prepares to fill the void this Friday.<\/p>\n

The bicep injury comes after a troubling season for Reynolds, having had problems with his knee and hamstring.<\/p>\n

Gallen believes the new issue could be a blessing in disguise for the star halfback and his club. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"You've got to take a positive out of every situation, the only positive for him having his time off is he'll be able to get the rest of his body right," he said on Nine's 100% Footy<\/em>.<\/p>\n

"We were kidding ourselves if we ever thought Adam Reynolds was going to play the whole season uninjured. He's too old, too brittle.<\/p>\n

"He was going to break at some stage so the fact it's happened now he'll be back probably with two or three weeks to go in the competition.<\/p>\n

"They've got to just take that as a positive and it'll allow other plays to step up and handle his position.<\/p>\n

"I still think they've got enough talent in that side to do it, I think Ezra Mam is an absolute gun of a player, I think he can steer them around the park and get them by. I still think they'll finish up in that top four, get Adam Reynolds back towards the end of the year and you never know what may happen."<\/p>\n

After making the grand final last year, the Broncos have been indifferent this season, struggling to maintain consistent form.<\/p>\n

Last Friday's heavy 40-18 loss to the Roosters put them down to seventh on the ladder and with a big hill to climb if they're to finish top four.<\/p>\n

League icon Phil Gould believes the side's "all flair or nothing" approach has been backfiring.<\/p>\n

"Broncos the previous week against the Tigers, I thought it was a very flattering \ufeffscoreline for them, I thought the Tigers were far better than what the scoreline showed and other than the freakish ability of Reece Walsh – who can do a couple of crazy things at different times – I didn't think that was too impressive," he said.<\/p>\n

"I tipped the Roosters to beat them, I didn't expect a 40-point scoreline, but that's the way it unfolded.<\/p>\n

"Broncos just aren't knuckling down at the moment, it's all flair or nothing, it's got to be done the pretty way or not at all."<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
