Caroline Wilson<\/a> has revealed Essendon<\/a> ruckman Sam Draper will not appear as a guest on the podcast 200+<\/em> for a month, after he landed in hot water for comments surrounding Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Draper spoke on the 200+<\/em> podcast, hinting that if Beveridge was to stay on as Bulldogs' coach beyond next season, some of his players would seek to be traded out of Whitten Oval.<\/p>\n

The comments were deleted, but Draper was still reprimanded at the time.<\/p>\n

He suspected that Bailey Dale and Jack Macrae, as well as Caleb Daniel, could be out the door\ufeff when he was asked on the podcast.<\/p>\n

"I've got a big call about the Doggies," Draper said on the 200+<\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n

\"Beveridge<\/p>\n

"If Bevo's (Beveridge) still there, there'll be some players requesting trades."<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs were also angered by Draper's comments, with Essendon officials \ufeffworking to apologise at the time.<\/p>\n

Now, Wilson says\ufeff the Bombers big man will sit out for four weeks of the podcast to avoid any further issues arising.<\/p>\n

"Sam Draper wanted to keep doing the podcast, Essendon didn't. His management Michael Doughty intervened and said he can have a four-week spell," Wilson said on Nine's Footy Classified<\/em> on Monday night.<\/p>\n

\"Sam<\/p>\n

"There's a feeling from Essendon that they were the scourge of the footy world for a long time, and it's a bit early for them to be having a whack at another club."<\/p>\n

Wilson said that Draper's comments took a while to sink in\ufeff, with the 25-year-old not understanding how detrimental his words were to the Dogs.<\/p>\n

"I think the penny did take a while to drop with Sam Draper and he had to be told several times that it wasn't funny," she said.<\/p>\n

The reason why the comments were so detrimental however, is because \ufeffthere are suggestions they do hold some weight at the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n

"The elephant in the room for Essendon, is that what he'd been saying is what a lot of people think (about Beveridge)," Wilson said.<\/p>\n

"So had he said something completely outrageous about another club, I don't think Brad Scott and Essendon would have been as angry."<\/p>\n

It comes as Beveridge's coaching career hangs in the balance after a dismal eight-point loss to Hawthorn in round eight.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Wilson indicated that the 2016 premiership leader could get the axe if he doesn't' guide the Dogs to the finals this season.<\/p>\n

"They need to make finals. If they don't make finals, I don't think Luke Beveridge will be there next year," she said.<\/p>\n

"He knows, the club knows it."<\/p>\n
